DT Coding Series, Part 4: Getting Started with Python Step-By-Step

Python can be used for tasks as simple as automated folder creation to tasks as involved as machine learning and artificial intelligence. In Part 1 and Part 2 we introduced what Python can do, and gave the briefest possible flyover of how you might get started. In this class, we will help you install and set up Python 3, write a useful script from scratch, and then download and modify a 3rd party script – all in two hours. This will also serve as a prerequisite for our two-day in-person coding class later this year. Note: Python works on Mac or PC, but this class will be primarily taught on the Mac platform.

This series is relevant to high-volume workflows of all kinds from e-commerce, to fashion, to museum/library digitization.
