The Trump administration's expected tightening of the H1B visas, which have long benefited foreign workers in the US tech industry, has triggered a new wave of reverse immigration in China. Chinese tech engineers and entrepreneurs are returning to their homeland to work on the next big thing as they no longer feel welcome in Silicon Valley.

Garbage... H1B visa is for individual with specialty technical knowledge and if it was obtained properly, then holder has nothing to be scared of.

Come to Canada, we need you. How about the Amazon center in Vancouver? Or Google in Toronto? or CG in Montreal?

It's not about hiring American. It's about hiring singer, popstar, rockstar, actor, actresses. This is the current American dream. You think they want to spend years coding and let their youthful days went away? Dream on.

All that education, experience, and talent, come on up to Canada. Lots of high tech jobs going unfilled, same or better wages then in the US, healthcare, low low violent crime, little or no racism  and much more.

I understand the frustration of the American people. If I lived in America, I would also be frustrated with the situation. There are young Americans who go to university and study computer science to get a good job in Silicon Valley. Instead, foreigners are brought into the country, who then take these people's jobs because they are cheaper.

I see a lot of people in these comments talking about how it is good because they aren't taking our jobs but that just tells me that you do not work in the tech industry. There are currently more jobs than people right now. Not enough people in college major in CS, CE, IT or learn how to code on there own. You can go to any job posting site and find thousands upon thousands of tech jobs that go unfilled because people aren't qualified.

When the greedy companies have to compete to get the best labor force instead of the labor force competing to get the best jobs is when society's improves financially.

Unless you work in IT you will not be aware of destruction in American workforce due to H1b. There are many departments that are full of Indian H1b that will not hire Americans. Americans are often laid off and asked to train their H1b replacements
