Hendler Creamery Demolition (Part 1)

Показать описание
Part 1. Demolition of the remaining walls of the Hendler Creamery in Baltimore, Maryland. Built as a cable car powerhouse in 1892, it was later used as a theater, and then became the Hendler Creamery from 1912 until the 1970s.
The historic facade was being preserved as part of a redevelopment project that failed in 2018, leaving it exposed to the elements. The lot will be used as open space.
Produced by John Z Wetmore, producer of "Perils For Pedestrians".

Thanks John.

It's sad to see that after all that effort to save the façade they ended up just tearing it down.

Sad and ugly. Tossing away buildings like trash. America is good at wasting. Shame on the groups and people who allowed it to get to this point.

I've been wondering for the last year since I started driving rideshare what was the purpose of this erector set looking structure, just recently found out what it was

FYI if you were not aware already, the office building behind the Kaiser Permanente office on Executive & Montrose/Henson Parkway just started demolition yesterday (9/3). Believe this is being redeveloped for townhouses/condos.
