Will this only restart the computer or what will it do?

I have acquired an hp stream for review which runs is Windows 10 “S mode”. Everything was fine for two months until I received a message that updates were pending. After the update not only was the internet not working, but my adapter disappeared. Reset does nothing for me. Under adapters are a bunch of mini port entries, Kernel Debug Network Adapter and a Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter. Any help you can supply would be great.
