Τα Κέντρα Ξένων Γλωσσών Χριστόπουλος ιδρύθηκαν το 1968 στο Αιγάλεω και στο Ίλιον και μέχρι τώρα είναι χιλιάδες οι σπουδαστές που έχουν φοιτήσει σ' αυτά. Οι γλώσσες που διδάσκονται είναι Αγγλικά, Γαλλικά και Γερμανικά.

BACKGROUND

Christopoulos Schools of Languages were founded in Aigaleo and in Ilion in 1968 and until now thousands of students have attended them. The languages taught are English, French and German.

PHILOSOPHY

A job worth doing is worth doing well, the British say, and that has always been our motto in the long course.

The basis of our system are two findings:

• In the conditions of globalization and economic crisis, which make the labor market more and more demanding, the need for very high level language knowledge for us, Greeks, becomes more and more urgent.
• Those dealing with young children, regardless of intentions, influence them to a greater or lesser degree positively or negatively.
For this reason, the teaching methods and individual practices that we follow are based on the requirements of child psychology and the psychology of learning, as well as the modern methodology in teaching foreign languages. Our goal is maximum efficiency, taking into account the specificities of ages targeted by the various curricula.

More precisely our system is summarized as follows:

• strict planning
• reliability
• modern methods and teaching aids
• respect for the child's personality
• identification of cases and systematic involvement with any student who needs special support
• flexible curricula adapted to the needs of students
• assessment of student achievement at regular intervals with valid internal tests accurate information for students and their parents about their progress.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Alongside the teaching of foreign languages, our main focus, right from the beginning, has been the ambition to intervene, within our capacity, to shape the aesthetic choices of our students, giving them stimuli for obtaining spiritual interests, but also entertaining them with events always characterized by high quality.

So our Educational Department has organized these years:

• attendance of numerous theatrical performances
• theatrical performances with the participation of our students
• events at our schools with literary content
• various musical events involving renowned artists such as George Dalaras, Manolis Mitsias, Yannis Spanos, Arleta, Mariza Koch, Eleonora Zouganeli, George Marinos, Michael Violaris, the late Manos Loizos and Nick Xilouris, etc.
• concerts of our school choir at the end of the school year from 1996 onwards.

Our Entertainment Department has also organized:

• wonderful excursions home and abroad
• sea cruises
• morning walks and picnics for our younger students
• visits to sites of archaeological interest and others
• parties at our schools

FACILITIES

The premises of our schools in Aigaleo and in Ilion, designed to create a pleasant and functional environment, are characterized by high aesthetics, making them an appropriate venue for the demanding educational process.
