Even after years every once in a while you come across something that makes your jaw drop. Being able to play like that and keep a groove the entire time without a drummer is incredibly difficult.

Look out here comes Eric. He engages his guitar, his strings, his fellow band member (s), his audience. Everything. He just seems to be one nice guy. One cool cat that can energize a guitar. Yet he strings his guitar reverse from most other guitarists. Say what? I love this guy!

I've watched this about 5x's now and it's interesting and telling to note that Gales is actually inventing new shit on the spot and at times paints himself into deviously intricate rhythmic circles from which he doesn't always quite extract himself. I think this is evidence of a higher form of artistry: this willingness to take chances and thus push your playing ability though to a new level.
