Georgia lawmakers want DA who didn’t make arrests in Ahmaud Arbery’s death ousted

VIDEO: The family of Ahmaud Arbery attended a news conference as several Georgia lawmakers called on Gov. Brian Kemp to remove the district attorneys of Brunswick and Waycross who both passed on the investigation of Arbery’s shooting death without arresting the two men involved.

The one thing I never got was how the first DA recused themself from the case because of their relationship with the killer but then got away with posting a letter under their title as DA attempting to exonerate the killers. You can't recuse yourself for potential bias then write a letter to the community and the next DA in your position as a DA yourself saying, "Hey I know I literally just said I'm biased, but here is why these murderers were justified." I don't all know what the 2nd DA did other than recuse themselves as well, which if that's all they did that's fine since that is what they are supposed to do, but that first DA shouldn't be working anymore after attempting to influence whether charges should be files after admitting their own bias.

This is not the first incident where someone has died under her watch. There was an ex-wife of a police officer and I believe the wife's new boyfriend. The officer killed both of them and shot himself.

Out of a tragedy comes change which is a good start. What I'd like to know is how many Republican lawmakers were together with the family on the steps of the Courthouse asking to change the hate crime law. They voted it down..

Yes they should be brought up on charges and also we know how they try to give us symbolic things, whats inside of that law? We don't only want his name on a bad bill we want his name on a real bill not a transparent bill that was written by people like these district attorneys.

They got away with murder for two months, this is why we are thankful this video was released. Many people have walked into new homes under construction and said to themselves this is gonna be a nice crib when they finished. There’s nothing to steal but nails and 2x4s I have built many homes from foundation to completion. We never leave anything that isn’t nailed down or next day’s materials, They just completed framing it’s the beginning They are still murdering us in 2020 . We need prayers and justice for his family.
