It really looks like those 2.3 and 2.7 tanks for the Swedish were originally put there because of the fact that they could unlock the APDS round. Now that even the reserves can get it, there isn't a lot of justification for staying at that BR.

Tier II and still hopeful. The worst lineup of tanks I ever played! I have no idea how drunk Gaijin had to be, to give these things a battle rating of more than 2.0!!!
You can hardly win against reserve tanks of other nations, let alone Tier II. They really are just spotter tanks, flankers, distractions and warm up target practice for the enemy. Best played in Realistic battles, where you at least stand a chance to stay hidden. They really need to nerve the BR or add the better round to mod Tier 2. Even when you pen, you do no dmg...sooo frustrating.

Im hoping they add the Pvkv III and Pvkv IV Värjan. Both has a 57mm gun with a APHE that goes through.
Penetration @ 90 dg (APHE):
10 m: 86 mm
100 m: 83 mm
500 m: 70 mm
1000 m: 57 mm
1500 m: 46 mm
2000 m: 38 mm

They also has a APDS
Penetration @ 30 dg @ 500 m (APDS): 135 mm

REALLY appreciate this video series you made! As a fellow Canadian I think this is why I am drawn to the Swedish tanks!

I know this is an old video and maybe no one will see this but you missed some really important points here.
The Strv m/41 is by far my favorite Swedish tank. It not simply a Panzer 38t ausf F. It has a more powerful engine. It has a scouting. You get this tank into a good sniping position 500m or 1km away, and with the scouting ability and the APDS shell you can dominate the match. You can engage vehicles beyond the range at which they can respond AND you have the armor to survive some hits.
About the armor - the stat card is misleading. With the exception of one weak spot below the turret, the m/41 gets 50mm of armor on the turret, upper and lower glasis, although it does have thinner side armer than the 38 t. However the m/40L only gets similar armor in a few tiny spots on the front and has huge weak spots everywhere else. It's like the Bt-5 and it's tiny 40mm plate that no one shoots.
So I think the 2.3 BR is actually reasonable in this respect. Like the Crusaders and the Pumas, this vehicle remains viable even in an uptier.
I do think the m/40L is overtiered. It's a m/38 with a few tiny bits of bolt on armor that in no way justify a full 1.0 BR increase. They are the same.
The reserves should not have gotten APDS, this was a huge mistake. I have taken the reserves into a 4.0 game and still done well with them simply because they can snipe vehicles at 1km+. In lower tiers they completely negate Valentines, Matildas and B1s. And although I enjoy yeeting B1s with impunity, it's just not balanced. And I also play these vehicles.
I do agree that the Lago 1 is trash. It's worse than both the m/40L and the m/41. A bigger target with the same gun but less armor and no scouting. The M/42 EH is also horrible, a huge target with a low velocity gun.
If it were up to me:
m/40L 2.0->1.3.
Lago 1 2.7->1.3.
M/42 EH 3.0->2.3.
Limit 37mm APDS to m/41 and M/40L if the latter remains at 2.0.

hmm. So I play just Ikv 72 and Sav m/43 (1944 - the 1946 is shit without the HEAT, and it shall not be at 3.0.) and (in arcade mostly) I average 8 kills per game. Top record was I think 14 or 15 kills, with just the Sav. ( I use the slpgr m/39 round for the Ikv and the same round for the sav)

I wish I'd taken the SAV20 instead of the probably never going to reach a state comparable to 1.95 or better 103-0. It'd help me grind out up to T3, T3 was fun to grind into T4 with, then easily reach U-SH 405, 1900 GE on a talisman for it, the rest is real fun history and earning a free ace on the 405. Phooey, oh phooey. Wish we had a single simple heli..

I don't know about you lads, but I started grinding Sweden and is, in my opinion, very very relaxing and enjoyable. Besides that, the fact that they are so garbage makes them very enjoyable because, for example I die in the STRV 41 I just hop in the Lago 1 and back on the battlefield and the repair costs are very small compared to other nations ( I said it and I will say it again, this is only my opinion and everyone has it s own, I just said my mind)

Dunno why Sweden was so damn slow when it came to mount bigger guns on our tanks.
But Sweden ain't known for being fast. When it comes to adopt new things :/

Dunno how true this is. But a few years ago. I read that one of the reason the early Swedish tanks has so short gun barrels. Was because they were not allowed to stick out of the font chassis when the turret was facing forward.
