It’s also unlikely any of their plants would be flowering plants as these evolved a lot later in our planets history and the world was dominated by many other plants before they took over by chance.

If I had a penny each time they found a planet "capable of life"...

"We are made of stellar ash. Our origin and evolution have been tied to distant cosmic events. The exploration of the cosmos is a voyage of self-discovery. I believe our future depends powerfully on how well we understand this cosmos in which we float, like a mote of dust in the morning sky." - Carl Sagan

I’m still banking on there being hyper-lanes around the edge of the solar system

Hello, I live in Russia. I loved watching videos on the channel (Explanation of SCP - History and Animation). No new videos have appeared on this channel for 3 months. I understand that this is due to a difficult situation in the world. But I ask you to continue making videos for the Russian audience.

I translated all this with the help of an online translator and I do not know how correctly he translated everything

One day we will look back at this the same way we looked at the Chinese rocket chair and think "dang what a silly idea" or maybe it's the kick-start that made stellar travel possible. I wish I was born 1000 years later because I would love to witness a stellar travel age.

As much as its nice to hear about planets that COULD support life, a lot of people don't seem to understand that the chance of life developing is extremely small, even on a planet with the right environment.

You need the perfect storm to create organic particles and they'd need to last without too much disturbance in order to have time to evolve... takes a long time too.

Hence the chance of actual life out there is unfortunately quite slim 😔

Can you do a video on your staff and the process for finding a video topic along with the research and animation?

Shocked how earth is probably seen as a planet with Lower life on it.

Watching this video honestly by the end I'm convinced that infographics has found a way to build the mass relays from Mass Effect.

These worlds will have atmospheres, gases, soils, and plants that might be hostile to humans. As you (The Infographics Show) noted in another video, when Dinosaurs lived, humans wouldn't have been able to breathe the air.

I think you brushed over what is really the biggest and most important question still available to philosophers. Which is - if you could upload a consciousness to a machine, would that still be you in the machine? Or would it be something else with your memories.

I do like the reference to the Yautja's home planet. 😉

Why would I want the super AI to rebuild my old body if I can be Batman? 🧐😏

Very kewl video. Long time fan/subscriber. Only one criticism, your pronunciation of the word habitable. The emphasis is on the first syllable, not the second. Pronounced like habit-able. Otherwise.... "stellar" as always. Side note: There is an "earth-like" planet near Proxima Centauri which is only 4.2 LY.
