GoPro 13 Made DJI Chuckle

The Gopro system is broken from the foundation up. Small awkward tall sensor. Way too wide fisheye lens. From that point you have to crop in to get a normal view, and your sensor is even smaller. Nothing is in focus at arm's length, and you have the cheap Gopro look of a tiny sensor. Gopro 13 doesn't change any of that. Instead they slapped some makeup on a pig. 400fps in 720p. The Akaso brave does 480fps in 720p btw. The macro lens might be the only way to get yourself in focus.

A 1" sensor would make sense, but GoPro could easily lose its direction and try to turn the camera into something it's not. It's an action camera and does a pretty good job of that. If they try to please everyone, they will develop a camera that isn't particularly good at any of them.

The only reason I have a GoPro is because I can take it underwater when I snorkel and scuba dive. Gopros are easy to pack and take on beach vacations. I have a Go Pro 8 that has survived many trips and adventures. I'll upgrade to a newer model when this one dies, if it ever does.
