Pete Seeger performs "This Land is Your Land" with Farm Aid board artists John Mellencamp, Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews and Neil Young live at the Farm Aid concert in Saratoga Springs, NY on September 21, 2013. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

Farm Aid's performances are donated by the artists in order to raise funds and raise awareness for family farmers. They've raised their voices to help — what can you do?

It's a great performance of a 94-year-old singer and man. New verses! It's fantastic! The american singer Odetta said in the early sixties, this should be the american national anthem. Pete Seeger, thank you for singing against rascim, fascim, war and intolerance. We sall overcome some day!

He was my neighbor in Beacon, NY. He was the most decent man I have ever met. He would take a plastic bag, walk up main street just to pick up trash to keep our streets clean. He would put a show on for all young students in my daughters middle school. There will never be another like him. So to see Willie sing along with him means so much. I miss seeing him and talking with him. He never ever turned anyone away just to have a chat. RIP Pete, you are missed.

Man, Pete sure was one heck of a human being. 94, and still passing the word from Woody and through his own music right up to the end. I just wonder who will pick up the flag and continue to carry it into battle, as he picked it up from Woody. It's a shame that there isn't anybody like him anymore. Special breed of people, and that breed is growing thin. Not many can pick up an entire nation, if not an entire world, and spread such a positive set of morals and messages for all to learn. I hope either his grandson or some other young buck or doe carries on his legacy and helps the way he has.

Thanks for all you've done for the world, Pete!

RIP, Pete; sincere condolences to his family! A legend and true inspirational folk singer; a decent sole, mentor to many, courageous & a true humanitarian. The only consolation to some of us is the chance to have met him in person and listen live to some of his  memorial songs.

Whomever is (or will in some future become) acquainted  with even a small part of his repertoire, will no doubt frequently continue to access and listen to his (full of wisdom) outstanding songs collection for many, many years/generations to come.

Good to see Pete still standing up for us and warning us about dangerous crap! Say no to fracking and yes to better fuels like BioWillie Biodiesel and renewable electricity! Thank all of y'all for helping us farmers. (~);?)~
