The Cat Gallows has been an access point on to the Coventry Canal in Nuneaton for over 100 years. It is also an important walking route to the town centre from Greenmoor Road area. In order to solve an issue with ASB the county council and Canal & rivers trust (CRT) closed off access to the canal towpath.

The latest news is that the county council have given in and will re-open the access point at Cat Gallows. The next thing is to make sure it is designed right so push chairs and prams can get thorough while discouraging the motorbikes.
