The Crystal River on Florida's West Coast is home to many beautiful springs. This particular location is very popular for snorkeling. This crystal clear pool of water is fed by three separate springs and is surrounded by a boardwalk and protected from boat traffic. Manatees and fish can be frequently spotted in this location because the water comes out around 75 degrees all year round. Mullet and other small fish can be seen swimming and feeding off of the algae growing on the limestone rocks and tree roots. Many tours take people on pontoon boats to see the springs where they swim and snorkel.
