Muhammad Ali: " floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee."🦋🐝
Bruce Lee: "Flow like water" & breath fire like a dragon! 🌊🔥🐉
RIP to BOTH these iconic fighting legends. ✌🤟😷

My wife met Bruce Lee once in a small corner grocery store on Capitol Hill in Seattle. RIP Bruce. You make us all proud.

To have Bruce Lee's footprint across your cheek - that is like badge of honor, worth more than any belt you can get. Bet, Dillman learned a lot that day.

Jackie Chan said that Mike Tyson is fast but you still can see his punches. He said Bruce lee was so fast that if you blink you wouldn’t see his attack.

All these years later and all these comments giving love to Bruce lee I don’t even think he could understand how much impact he would have had even today 🥺

One other thing about Bruce, he never said he was the top dog. He just wanted to be the best at martial arts, and if people said he was badass, so it goes. He never tooted his horn, bringing attention to himself that he’s a world class martial artist. Jim Kelly said he’s the best martial artist in history. He goes on to say, people don’t realize just how great he was.

Bruce Lee took Martial Arts to spiritual awakening...

Would've loved to see Bruce training with Ali. How much better would Ali be or Bruce if they learned from each other. Two legends in their own right.

I read somewhere years ago that Bruce actually admired Ali's boxing technique and how swift he was for a big guy.

Bruce Lee: " Dont fear the guy who practiced thousand kicks one time. Fear the guy who posts the same boring sentence hundred thousand times under every martial arts related youtube clip."

Bruce Lee is definitely faster, no doubt about it

What I love about these guys is their philosophies reach far further than martial arts.

Bruce said he could hit me 4 time's. Before I could hit him.

I doubted that.
Then he did... 😆 😆 😆
Priceless absolutely priceless..

*I have to add something very important to this story.* You never would have heard this from Bruce Lee. He has beaten other Senseis as well. Out of respect and honor, Bruce Lee would never publicly shame another Sensei, his Dojo, his craft, or his career. High respect to George Dillman. There is no shame in publicly admitting to being beaten by Bruce Lee.
Not only was it disrespecful to brag about victory in Bruce Lee's eyes, it also went against his primary goal. *Bruce Lee's ultimate goal was to always improve on Jeet Kune Do.* Bruce could never do this if other Senseis would refuse to spar with him. He sought after other Senseis to learn whatever he could from them. Sparring with students was public. Sparring with a Sensei was private. Publicly beating a Sensei is basically telling the world you are better and students should not train with the loser.
Bruce was driven to learn the best, most effective move to counter every situation. If he found one, his old move was tossed out of his training program, never to be taught again. The new move would become incorporated into Jeet Kune Do training. Jeet Kune Do was ever evolving until Bruce's passing. This information was given and verified by Dan Inosanto.

Bruce was so quick the movie cameras couldn't catch the movement.
