Fabry was originally a lead guitarist with groups such as The Young Devils, The Beatnicks and The Spotlights. He started a solo career and, after several singles released with EMI , signed a contract with the then new record company BASF.

His first production in 1971, Come to the telephone Angelina , became a hit in Flanders. His career took a new turn when he landed with Limbo Records in the early 1980s. He sang mainly English songs, such as Please be careful with my heart , Just a little smile , I remember you , and It's a sin to miss a kiss from you . These reached the BRT Top 30 .

From 1985 Fabry released Dutch-language records again. The singles With you I never feel alone , Ça c'est la vie and Do you stay with me were awarded a gold record .

Two years later he scored another gold with the song The telephone is crying , a duet with the child star Silvy Melody . This song was produced by Fred Bekky .
