I know Lily had orange wallpaper in her house in the older games! Maybe that’s where you got the citrus thing from with her? The orange wallpaper turned into fruit oranges in your mind along the way? :)

I think when you associated Lilly with oranges, you were thinking of Tangy. Tangy is a cat villager who is literally an orange.

I love the character designs. Though with Lily I think you could have made her hair that minty-bluey color but at the roots or tips you could have put a yellow color, because her lower jaw is a pastel yellow, though thats just a personal option

I love your character designs! Sometimes our minds make up something super cool that makes sense, but the reality is never the way we want.The idea with the citrus is so cool that i don't care if its made up or not.
