Pro-Ject T1 Turntable Review

Pro-Ject has obviously reset the bar for entry-level performance turntables with the new T1 series. You will be hard-pressed to find a table in this price range with the plethora of tech found in the T1. If you are just getting into tables and do not have a phono stage, we suggest the T1 SB model with the built-in phono stage. However, if your system already has a phono preamp, the T1 will be an excellent choice.

Bot it a few weeks ago. It's really awesome. Super nice to use.
The only missing thing i would love to see in future models/other models: Auto-stop.

Hi there,

How would you compare the T1 to the Essential III?

I just ordered mine, need to wait 4 days!

It has the same wow & flutter rating (0.25%) as the $99 AT-LP60 turntable, and is very similar to the $154 Crosley C6 turntable. (No surprise, since Pro-Ject manufactures other turntables for Crosley.)

Thanks again for your great channel and reviews

How you compare this to evo that comes with sumiko rainier in terms of sound quality, is there a huge difference?

Kind regards and best wishes

I'm looking for an entry level turntable, with bluetooth support as I don't have room (for the time being) for a full hifi setup. The bluetooth model is a wee bit more expensive, but will be perfect for my needs. I was looking at the Audio Technica LP120 initially, but saw some issues with the construction and poor anti-skate (as in, it didn't work). By comparison the Pro-ject turntables look much higher quality, tailor made with the different models to what niche you're looking for which is great for the consumer. I've been streaming music for a few years now, but missed the physicality of owning a record and I've fallen in love with the artwork that comes with vinyl.

How would you compare this model with Project Debut III S Audiophile, and with Rega Planar 1? Thank you!! Also, any advice on the new Audio Technica LPW40?

Ι like this turntable and rega planar 2 (both similar in design). Which one would you recommend? I also like the fact that this turntable has electronic speed switch unlike the planar but i'm a bit worried about wow and flutter measurements. Pro ject gives a 0, 25 while Rega only 0, 05. You've heard to both, what do you recommend? Does the planar 2 worth the extra money? Thanks in advance!

Works well with a blue ortofon cartridge.

Bought it when it first came out. returned the next day. Too light, hum, if you clean your record using a little bit of pressure one of the feet lifts and the table tilts. cheapest turntable at this price point. I hope Project isn't giving you freebies for reviewing.

Hello, I’m here watching this video because I am in the market to buy my very first ever turntable and was searching for recommendations of turntables. I guess this should be a nice option for me. Could I please call to speak with someone about this unit? Thanks.😊

Can the cartridge be upgraded to Ortofon 2M red? (I'm aware that the tonearm was designed to perfectly sit with the OM5E, hence the question)

Hello Audio Advice-I have the standard T-1 with built in RCA cables. Can I remove them and switch them to smaller cables? I am trying to pair it with a schitt mani pre-amp
