This idiom expression is perfect to describe what I’m currently experiencing. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the lockdown made me understand that I had always taken lots of stuff for granted. For example, I was not allowed to go out for a run or have a coffee with a friend, have lunch with my parents on Sundays. It was really unbelievable because I had always taken them for granted and now I actually appreciate their real value.
