Background: I've owned this car for a bit over two months.
With regards to the self parking, the biggest problem with this car is that the owner's manual does a poor job of explaining the details of how these systems work. Lots of owners, collaborating online, have pieced together how it all works. To address some of the not-so-helpful content about the parking systems in this video: (Few reviewers take the time to learn how it works, and it's not their fault.)
1) The reason the car stopped backing up into the parking space around the 6 minute mark is that if you're doing this from outside the car, you have to stay close to the car. Once it got a certain distance from the key fob, the car stopped.
2) It does NOT read the lane lines It will only pull straight backwards or straight forwards using the two buttons on the key fob.
3) It DOES have the ability to autonomously park in a straight-in spot like that, but only when there's solid objects like cars next to the space. It can't read the paint lines to tell where the spot is. Also, this is initiated by pushing and holding the parking camera button from inside the car. It's not very good at this party trick, however. You're better off parking it yourself unless the spot is too tight to let you exit the car.
4) It can autonomously pull into or out of a parallel parking spot, also by pushing and holding the parking camera button. It does this well. Better than I can, honestly.

The second part of the video describing the HDA2 (Highway Driving Assist 2) and LKA (Lane Keeping Assist) features was dead on. The car does a good job of following lanes on the highway, and following the car in front of you. It's very, very good (but not perfect) at avoiding cars impinging on your lane. It will, for example, squeeze over to one side if a car is getting to close on the other side.
It can autonomously take evasive steering action, as well as autonomous emergency braking. There's no phantom braking problem like there is on some other cars.
It does a really good job of warning you about safety problems, such as when you're drifting over a line, or if you put on a turn signal and there's a car in your blindspot.
The radar tracking line on the HUD shows you which car the cruise control is following. It really inspires confidence when you see it switch to the car that just cut in front of you -- as well as the deceleration to avoid said car.
Most owners don't see the point of the automatic lane changing. Yes, it works. But it's easier (and faster) to turn the wheel than to wait for the car to change lanes for you. The other parts of HDA2 are really helpful, however, and make long trips much easier.
The blindspot cameras that get displayed on the instrument cluister are activated by the turn signals. The cameras give you a really good wide angle view of the lane next to you. Perhaps this will encourage people to use turn signals more often???
It reads speed limit signs and displays the speed limit in the instrument cluster and on the HUD.
It can, if you wish, change speeds automatically when the speed limit changes. I'm not fond of this feature. It's not so great being the only car that slows down.
Under the right conditions, on cruise control, it will slow down to take steep turns.

I really appreciate posts that are filmed like this so we can see how the controls actually work. Great.

I think you have to be within a certain distance of the car when doing remote parking. The first time it stopped it resumed when you stepped closer.

Really enjoyed this overview and Chris's presentation. I'd love to see similar videos for each car you get in the shop.

Great review from Chris. Yes, please have Chris make a similar review of each cars autonomous system. It’s so difficult to determine real life function of these systems vs. what the manufacturer says they will do. Beautiful car, now a more realistic view of what it actually delivers.

I do like the styling.. Between this and the Mazda's--- they have really stepped up the styling game and are making nice looking cars these days.

Thanks Chris for your review of the EV6 self driving features. Really liked the heads up display while driving.

great to see your critique of the ADAS in KIA EV6 in comparison to other vehicles you have driven, really great info!

Love watching the car bouncing/thumping up and down on the freeway. Fond memories of Massive Michigan vehicle-swallowing potholes.

6:00 range from the remote. Not ment to be done from a far. Walk along with it.

The Adaptive Cruise Control also stays on when driving in city traffic. It requires no accelerator or braking by the driver and simply follows the stop and go of the car in front of you. If you come to a complete stop, you have to use the accelerator pedal or click the cruise control (+) button on the steering wheel to start up again but the Adaptive Cruise Control stays turned on. It is one of the best features on the car. I have a 2022 Ioniq 5 but I would assume that the EV6 operates in the same manner.

Great job of reviewing the controls. Something I can see that is needed is a standard for display icons and placement. When you go from vehicle to vehicle one should not have to hunt for where the indicators are or what they mean. For older people, like me, one can get confused and possibly make a wrong move thinking that an indicator is showing one thing when it is not truly relevant.

I like the side camera view pop-up on the instrument panel in front of you when indicate to change lanes. If you can't get rid of mirrors then this is good.

I think you have to stand closer to the car for that remote reversing to work.

Yes. More on-road tests like this please.

These videos are really informative. One thing that would be nice, I realize that you guys JUST tried out the EQS. However, the EV6 doesn't complete in the same class. It would be much more informative if you could compare this other vehicles in the class like the ID.4 or the Mach-E.

Not sure why you are standing in the rain without rain protection. Why show is the system not working? Edit that out or tell us why is did not work. I think the value of these videos is frame of reference. Tell us what you are looking for and what you are comparing it against and what you think the best systems should do.

It stopped reversing because of the range. You need to basically walk the car into the spot. Seems to only allow for a range of a few feet at most from the car when using the remote outside. I guess it must be some kind of safety feature.

I"ve seen car pull into parking lot from a 90 degree angle, its a bit slow but there is a process for it. you drive by the spot, pick the spot, and then hold teh button. the forward/backward button will just do straight to pull in or out, but the car can stree into either a parking spot ina parking lot or paralel park.
