Buying a used camera and lens THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Sometimes you can't afford new gear; not to worry! Many used cameras and lenses are in excellent condition and affordable for folks on a budget. Here are a few tips on what to look for before making your purchase! Good luck!:)

Especially check the golden contact points on lens and camera mount. If scratched/damaged, the previous owner might not have been that careful

Also, check/ask for shutter count. This tells you how many times the mechanical shutter inside the camera has actuated (i.e. how many photos it has taken). Entry level cameras are good for 150, 000 or so
