My pool guy wanted $500 to put a seal kit in. I literally watched your video twice and did it myself in 30 minutes and about $25 worth of parts including the pool lube. Thank you!

I just had to replace my pool pump, the pool store wanted $900 to replace it. So I said no way in hell, so I bought the pump on Amazon watched this video and did it myself. The pump cost me $ 315.00. I saved almost $ 600. Thanks to you guys for the video. Keep doing pool project videos. You guys took great detail in explaining the process. Thanks.

Mark I want to personally thank you for a very concise instructional video that taught me how to replace the seals. Worked like a charm.
Thank YOU, Mark.
This is how tutorials are meant to be.

Awesome! No music, no bs, just instruction presented clearly and completely!

My motor is running great, but I have two problems, undoubtedly related. I have no water flowing and when I took the basket cover off the water was steaming hot, and the basket had melted! I kid you not. I am going to assume that my 5-year-old impeller is quite literally toast.

This is by far the clearest and most thorough self help video I have ever used and I use many! Thanks Mark!!!

I tend to do most everything on my pool now. Once you know the basics it really helps out and saves money. Very well done video, very clear narration and video quality. Thanks!

Wow, You made a GREAT video, very clear. I take care of most Pool maintenance myself, and when my Inground Pool Hayward motor went crazy noisy, I checked around and just wanted to replace the motor, while local pool supply companies said just get the entire unit, Motor and housing for $550!. The Hayward 1HP Motor was gotten for about $159, and then your video was the BEST, very clear and WOW, really easy to follow. Thank You!

Great Job Mark, For those of you who are having a leak, change both seals on the inner case. The loud noise you may be hearing is your ceramic discs. If you ever ran your pump dry that maybe your problem. Not just trying to steal your thunder just adding my 2 cents.

Excellent, well-produced instructional video. Thorough and accurate yet a relatively short video. We were able to confidently disassemble the pump and change out the gaskets in about an hour. Thank you!!

Excellent tutorial. I saved $2300 dollars by doing it myself with the online video tutorials. This was well explained. Now my pump work perfect. Thank you so much. My total cost for do it yourself repair was $357.00

Thank you very much Mark! Basically I never tried to fix anything myself related to my pool until I saw this video, very clear and precise. My dual speed Hayward pump suddenly started leaking a little bit last week, I couldn't find any obvious leaking around the drain and pipes. Luckily I found your video and ordered the parts. Today I dismantled the pump and followed your instruction step by step, put everything back together after replacing the seals and gaskets. The only one thing different was that my impeller got stuck, I went to buy a strap wrench in the middle and it worked great. I'm still checking if the leaking really got fixed but I want to thank you for saving me 150 dollars by making this great video!

You saved me probably $1000, vs. calling my installer, who would probably have replaced the pump (at $550 retail, plus his mark-up, plus his labor). Thank you!

Yes yes yes after watching I can't even tell you how many videos I've watched. Thank you for explaining all orings, gasket, and all that comes with the seal kit

Hi Mark, thank you for your great instructional video. My pump was leaking slightly and I was worried about the water getting to the pump. I ordered a gasket kit and with your video I was able to replace all the seals and so far so good, will see over a day or two if it had stopped leaking. I tell you one thing, it is much quieter as the spring seal was past it's time and once of the other seals had sand in it. Again thank you for your video, much appreciated!

Did it five years back, no problem. This time around the impeller absolutely will not break loose.

Wow. Thanks so much Mark. I followed a different video last year and it was far more confusing, particularly regarding how to get at the shaft to hold it in place. Loosening up the condenser made it a snap to get in there. No more leaks or air bubbles!

Excellent presentation! I feel like I was back in corporate training for the semiconductor processing equipment I worked on for 30 years. Thorough explanations of the steps, the whys and the hows. I will be doing this job today on my crusty Hayward pump (driven by a Century HST110, 1.1HP motor). The only thing I would ad is IF your pump is still wired (like mine), turn OFF the circuit breaker(s) for the pump and use a multimeter to confirm AC power is disconnected. Thankfully, LOTO is not really necessary at home. :)
