One of my favorite movies of all time is Dark Skies. I have to agree with those that posted it already. Excellent alien movie.

Intruders (1992) is the best typical UFO movie (only on DVD). Another good one from the same genre is the Visitors of The Night (1995). Hangar 18 (1980) and Dark Skies (2013) are solid ones.

I remember watching War Of The Worlds a couple of years ago. The plot takes a while to get started, but it's very sophisticated for 1953...

The Thing (1982) is a crazy body horror about a shape shifting alien that takes the appearance of its victims and its great. The practical effects in the movie are absolutely awesome.

For a subtle alien movie, Check out The Invasion staring Nicole Kidman. It’s suppose to be a remake of the older film, ‘Invasion of the Body Snatchers”

I thought The Fourth Kind was actually really weak. But definitely check out Dark Skies if you have not. Now that was a very creepy alien 👽 abduction film
