Sportster No Spark. (FIXED)Tried everything? Watch this before buying parts

Had a no spark issue, traced down everything, and nothing seemed to work. Finally after digging and digging in the internet, and chasing a wiring diagram for this bike. I reset the bank angle switch, and boom fired right up. This is simple and easy, so please eliminate this before you start throwing money at parts!
A lot of others have had success with just cycling the key on and off 5 times.
There is a video out there talking about ohming your coil… don’t follow that if you have dual fire!!!

Damn. I replaced my coil and plugs for nothing. I turned in on and off 5 times....waited a minute and it fired up....who knew..lol....thanks a bunch

That’s exactly what it was. Too bad I didn’t see this video before I bought the dang ignition module. But I could have sworn it wasn’t blinking before I bought it. At least I didn’t install it

Thanks but have an - ? is your bike fuel injected or Carb bc never knew an angle sensor would be on an Carb bike 03 or less bc iam have same no spark issue on my 2000 carb 1200 ...Thanks

My 98 lost spark yesterday. Gonna try this when I get home. Now when you say turn the switch 5 times do u mean the key itself or the on off switch on the handle

Reading this at work… I’ve replaced fuel, plugs, fuses, filters, oil, battery, etc… I’m gonna be so pissed and so relieved if this is my issue. My first motorcycle. Bought a very well taken care of sportster 1200 custom for $500 and am really trying my best to do any work on it myself… will report back.

*crank sensor
*coil
*new earth on battery

Cleaned ignition switch
Checked fuel tap, gets fuel
Checked spark with spark tester, no spark
Checked main ignition circuit breaker, 12v

I have lost spark on the front cylinder but not on the back. Just happened today 😔 any guesses???

Got a 01 sporty 883 hugger. Changed coils, spark plugs, spark plug wires, hell even changed the damn starter relay. Imma give this a try

I'm having same problem changed battery coil and spark plugs still no go, hope this works I will update once I tried it

I took that peice off n it has a rattling sound can something be loose in there

I had spark and now no spark, this could be it. As well starter switch not working but I can jump the solenoid at the starter relay. When I turn the motor I have abnormal fuel going into front cylinder and going out exhaust.

Where does the grey wire go to on the bank angle sensor?

Have a 01 sportster, running on 1 cyl intermittently, ?. Took 2 del. Waste if time. They don't like working on older bikes.
