♥ GIVEAWAY CLOSED ♥ Thanks for entering
This is a compilation of all the squishy methods I've seen on YouTube!! What I love most about DIY squishies is the sheer creativity involved. Some techniques involve wrapping soft objects inside a flexible casing, others play with chemistry to create a malleable material that you can squeeze. Squishies are unique in that it's virtually impossible to replicate any store-bought squishy at home. "Soft rising" squishies are made from polyurethane foam and even though you can get the liquid components, they are never as soft or dense as the factory ones. Silicone or mochi squishies are even harder to replicate. I managed to get very close by using milky Hitohada Gel but it was a fairly wobbly process.
I personally love the concept of paper squishies. It's the only DIY that's halfway between drawing and crafting. There's something magical about being able to turn anything from your imagination into a 3-dimensional object. It's also super cheap and easy to make with supplies that almost everyone has at home.
