RPCS3 Best Settings for Performance

this video is about rpcs3 best settings for performance.

thanks to this tutorial I managed to get the main menu to almost stable 60 fps
the game was still unplayable, but thanks for the effort at least

These are my settings that I ran RPCS3 with today 1st Jan 2024, latest emulator version.
On my dual core Intel G6400, 2 core, 4 threads cpu (released in 2020). GTX 960 graphics.

Game: Sleeping dogs.

In the 2nd mission based on walking behind his friend .

- With these settings: I got 12-18fps with a lot more responsiveness to controls, and i could actually play, for testing purposes. Also Rendered cut scenes are now 30-40fps, very good! I set program priority to Above Normal in task manager.

** Settings used **

CPU tab:
- Preferred SPU Threads: 2
- Enable SPU Loop Detection: Disabled

GPU tab:
Shader Mode:
- Async w/ Shader Interpreter
- Number of Shader Compiler Threads: 2

Audio tab:
- Audio Buffer Duration: 125 ms

Emulator tab:
- Max LLVM Compile Threads: 3

Advanced tab:
- Maximum Number of SPURS Threads: 4

Next i may try your settings

SPU Loop Detection absolutely saves the game and as far as i can tell is the one setting that makes Skate 3 go from unplayable to playable as if you’re on the console…. BUT it completely ruins the audio and i can’t figure out how to fix that other than turning the setting off which makes it go back to running terribly

Thank you man you made Infamous 2 run like 5-10 fps more but it is still unplayable because of my bad pc

Thanks bro. My laptop for some reason cannot dissipate the heat when running AVX instructions, so the temperature used to hit up to 100°C in seconds just by unpausing the emulation.

Disabled core boost, temperature is now about 60-70°C. Quite low.

With core boost, temperature hit 100°C in seconds. With these settings, now I can enable core boost and temperature will stay around 90-95°C. Thanks

Idk what happened bro but it effected all my games and now all have gone slower and low fps idk what to do even the ones not running on rpsc
