And How To Prevent The GREEN LIGHT OF DEATH.... I made this video to help troubleshoot some issues if you have a flashing green light on your Maxxair Fan in your camper van but also to help you know how to prevent it to avoid getting the light in the first place!

This isn't the only cause of the flashing green light but it is what killed the circuit board on my last fan!

Just recently found your channel. Love your content and sharing the issues where we as Vanlifers cope with. Recognition :)
Great solution with the electronics! You did a great job. Greetings from Europe

I had this problem last summer (I live in Tucson, AZ). I tore my fan apart and found more than a few subpar solder joints at some of the capacitors. Took it into the shop, resoldered the board, and now it works like a dream

Great Job Tory, you make it look easy, but I know how much it takes to find a remedy to any issue, all the research and planning congrats on finding your strengths and putting in the work. Stay Strong God Bless

Great job and great advice! I haven't seen a girl do that in nearly 40 years. Thank you for keeping old tricks alive and well.

What a small world: I was camping near Wickenburg and drove by your parking spot a few days ago when I took a wrong turn out of Kingman, on my way to Seattle. :P

Thanks for your great videos. This one was a great tip!

Love your videos. 1 tip, 1 question. Tip that grey ring on your Ryobi drill is a clutch. The lower the number the lighter the clutch. So if you want to keep from getting all dizzy going in circles, set the clutch to a low number and use the drill normally. if not enough to tighten the screw go up one number at a time. The final top symbol is when you want to drill something and want no slippage. Question: I'm installing a very similar radiant floor in my vehicle. I developed it myself by doing tons of research, but it is basically the same principle as you have installed. What are you going to install on top of your radiant heated floor? That is the only piece I haven't determined. Wood, vinyl, bamboo, tile, etc ??? Thanks again for enlightening and entertaining us.

To protect against condensation, stash some silicon gel packs around the Motherboard. Replace at least every six months. We had to seal the controls for our refrigerator with clear packing tape to protect the electronics from leaks.

Wahoo you’re doing it more videos you did such a good job on this what else could you do like this I have two max air fans in my trailer haven’t even hook them up they’ve been in there for two years I think the warranty is out good to see you do you know what about the red rubberized paint people should use this on the whole inside and outside that you don’t mind the color I put it on the roof of my trailer because rust issues inside and out I’m typically in Hot climates so I’m going to paint over the red with the white paint the red was just to stop the rust this actually makes a 20° difference in temperature hard to believe in it that’s why I put 3 inch insulation in the ceiling with an air gap with Havelock wool wanted to test the moisture issue with the sheep wool

had the same issue with window a/c units, nailpolish works good, without needing to find conformal coating.

Can you just bypass motherboard and connect to on/off switch and fan motor? something to think about if it ever goes bad maybe get a variable speed switch. Thanks for Sharing... and stay safe Tory.

I installed 2 voltage reducers in line, and it didn't work. So I used your link for the silicone conformal coating, I hope this works. Wish I had not installed the roof fan. I could have added another solar panel 😉

5:27 -- What?! No Wonder-woman costume? Maybe you need more rest. All kidding aside, you make a lot of good points and probably the moisture issue is the biggest one to address. Another option I've seen people use is to just hook up an after-market motor controller instead of the provided circuit-board (somewhere convenient for their build) and run the wires to the fan. This might be useful for you, as you could have as many speeds as you want and you could also reverse the wires (using a two or three position switch) so you could use the fan in both directions. There's *no need* to pay those kinds of prices for what is basically a motor controller with the ability to reverse the polarity -- just my 2 cents, since you're broke -- hope it helps at some point.
Cheers!...from North Vancouver

Adding a small packet of silica gel would also absorb any moisture to help safeguard against any moisture or condensation buildup
