Is this the same Augustine who came to Britain and found a thriving community of Christians there, and then had them slaughtered because they held the Bible to be of higher authority than the Pope?

The same Augustine who engaged in debauchery & instead of being accountable. Blamed the devil & women. Hence the modern day vow of chastity by Priests.

This doesn't make sense. It means that "evil" people and angels are stronger than God because they can resist his power. Or else, God is not good because he refuses to stop evil happening to innocent people.
