Everyone should be inspired to start with what you can afford. I started with a small Jayco 17bh being pulled by minivan. Between the queen bed, bunk beds and convertible booth, my wife, 3 kids and me got YEARS of fun traveling and camping. When I could afford it, I bought a pickup truck and a 30 foot camper, but if I had waited until I could afford all that, I would have missed out on years of smiles, memories and pure enjoyment. So, if you are on a budget, pick an inexpensive camper and get camping! 😊👍

Great job Josh! Thanks for addressing this category. We currently camp in an Aliner Ranger 12 A-frame pop-up with a hard front dormer. It’s great for two people. Not super fancy, but when you’ve spent the last 30 years camping in a backpacking tent, it’s pretty darn nice!

I would replace one of those units with the Wolf Pup 14cc. That is a cool little camper. I like the shower and toilet being separated and it has everything you need in a small package.

Great breakdown of "smaller" options for RV's. Love it.

Thanks Josh. You are great! I really appreciate this video for single or couples, because other videos I have watched only talk about how many people you can squish in to sleep - which I would never do and certainly don't need to review. These are great! I'd like to tow with an RV when I am ready, so this has been good to watch!!

Toyota 4Runner 4x4 is the most popular SUV in Colorado. Generation 5 has 500lb Hitch Weight and 5000lb towing capacity.

Geo Pro seemed to gave all the boxes checked for me. The only thing that gave me pause was the cargo capacity especially the tongue weight, but that is were the weight distribution hitches come in.
Still on hold for mine to be delivered in July. Fingers crossed.
Great video! As usual . Gave a wonderful day!!!

I love these lists. Love dreaming about some of those bigger maybe fancier ones but this is actually the more realistic options for us. Thanks for the great information as always.

What I like is how detailed you are. Also how useful your information is. I have a truck about 8000 lbs I can pull. But I don't want to max it out because I know I will keep adding to it.
But your SUV tips helps me because it's under 5000lbs which give me some breathing room. Plus the smaller travel trailers would work better because they are more functional for me. I know this because of the info and transparency you give.
Especially the odd info you give. Lol, turtle friendly. I never thought about it before but now that i travel yeah being turtle friendly seems like something I need to consider.
Thanks again for the info.

I was pulling for the Geo Pro and it got the win. Our new Mini Lite makes me partial to Rockwood. Thanks, helping us make our choice and for having one we could purchase.

I would like to recommend one myself. The Coleman Lantern 17b. Less than 3k dry weight, is a bunkhouse format, and perfect for those just starting out. It is a no frills camper, but does the job.

Thank you so much for this list! This is exactly what I've been trying to find out on my own.
