One of the things that I haven't seen properly explored when it comes to conspiracy theories, especially the flat earth, is the methods of thinking that are used in comparison with science.

So in this video, we're gonna be dissecting and comparing scientific reasoning vs conspiracy theorist reasoning as well as categorizing each as what they really are.

Why do you put religion together with pseudosciences? The field of interest of religion and science don't overlap, and science by definition cannot say anything about the field of interest of religion.

Hi. The one that gets me is flat earthers saying that there's no Sunrise and Sunset! According to one, the sun "goes away and comes back"! That's one of the most ludicrous explanations given by flat earthers! Disheartening and heartbreaking at the same time 💔.

I would like top suggest that for the topics we usually see, part of the scientific method is to come up with a mathematical description of the topic. Look at Newton - he worked his way at gravity and produced an equation that could then be tested. Honestly, if people are going to stay the gravity does not exist (hint, it does), they need to work out what force i acting to make denser things fall. It can't density as that is a function of gravity.

Logic is not "common sense." Neither is it intuitive nor innate. It follows some simple rules, but those rules must be learned and frequently practiced. FE is an extreme example of what happens when people fail to learn rudimentary critical thinking skills.

Very interesting, thank you. Disciplined adherence to the 'scientific method(s)' is how science is supposed to work - even some flat earthers believe that. In reality, scientific advancement is more complex. Check out Thomas Kuhn's observations that :
If this is true, it helps account for the inability of 'globers' and 'flat-earthers' to understand each other - or even ourselves.

This document explains the rules, policies and procedures for flat Earth believers. This is nonnegotiable and must be adhered to at all times when discussing flat Earth with non-believers. Terms used in this document and their meanings:
• Baller: Any person who does not believe in flat Earth
• Flatard: Any flat Earth believer. While this sounds like an insult, it is the common phrase used to describe flat Earth believers.

1. Deny all evidence which indicates a globe Earth. This includes photos, videos and scientific data from any person in history or present. This is just lies and all data which proves a globe Earth is fake and conspiracy. If a baller ever asks for proof of flat Earth, ignore their requests and demand they prove globe Earth instead.

2. NASA is the driving force behind the globe Earth theory. They are the ones controlling what information is taught in schools and disseminated to the public. This is to control the population and to make them believe the Earth is a globe. NASA is WRONG. All astronauts, rocket scientists, astronomers, astrophysicists and scientists are paid by NASA to keep the globe Earth conspiracy going. They are called “Paid Ballers”. No whistleblowers have ever come forward due to the contracts they sign with a clause in them that they will be “terminated” if they ever try to tell the truth. Some attempted whistleblowers have been killed already by NASA and all evidence of their existence has been deleted.

3. Demand proof of a globe Earth as if it has never been proven (see rule No 1). Never, under any circumstances, NEVER provide evidence of a flat Earth of any kind unless absolutely necessary, and even then, ONLY one of two proof evidence of flat Earth is allowed. A: Provide videos on YouTube with comments which contradict all scientific data, no matter how many times that data has been proven to be correct. B: Provide CGI illustrations on how flat Earth works, no matter how impossible they may seem. Ballers are stupid and just will not understand.

4. Fish Eye Lenses: Any photo that shows any kind of curve to the Earth’s surface is to be dismissed, as all cameras, video or still, use fish eye lenses. Don’t be concerned about the fish eye lens only altering the horizon and no other detail in the photograph. All cameras are designed this way.

5. All flatards are to be loudmouthed, arrogant and behave like small children who have had their candy taken off them. This will install the thought that maybe flatards are correct because they are so passionate about flat Earth. Don’t use a dictionary as ballers are stupid and cannot read or understand what you say anyway.

6. All airplane windows are curved and create the illusion of a curve on the Earth. The windows act as a fish eye lens, assisting the camera to bend the horizon. Any baller who states they have seen the curve, with their own eyes, from an airplane window is lying. This also goes for anyone who has said they have seen the curvature from a very high building. The building windows distort the view and create curvature on the horizon.

7. During any interview on TV, radio, or anywhere, always insist “NASA faked 6 moon landings” as your catch cry as absolute proof of flat Earth. Do not give the interviewer or others on the interview time to have their say. Insist that any photos or video you are shown that depict a curved Earth are CGI and therefore fake, no matter where they come from. This is safe as no flatard has ever provided a photo of the Earth so you can safely say the photo or video is fake without denying a fellow flatards work.

8: All globers are taught at school about the globe. They are indoctrinated to the globe at an early age so as to force them to believe the lies. They are never taught to think for themselves. This is why you cannot tell any glober the truth without them getting angry or start crying.

9. Insist that any flatard’s experiment that has actually proven the globe to be sabotaged by ballers.

10. Satellites do not exist. All communications around the world go through underground/undersea sea cables.

11. The dome is real and therefore space exploration is impossible. Any baller who states otherwise is simply wrong. Stars and planets are projections onto the dome that covers Earth.

12. Totally disregard and ignore baller questions regarding distances between locations. They do not understand how distance works on Earth.

13. Insist that Antarctica surrounds the entire flat Earth and that NASA and all governments around the world have military ships and personnel guarding the ice wall to stop the truth of what is behind Antarctica getting out.

14. Gravity does not exist. Ballers will ask how an object falls to the ground. The truth is that the object is denser than air, therefore it falls. An object lighter than air will float or rise. The Earth is flying “up” and this creates this effect. Albert Einstein was wrong.

15. The fact that Adolf Hitler was flat Earther, means that it is true.

16. The sun and moon are only a few hundred miles above the Earth and are also smaller than all scientific data has measured it to be.

17. Flat Earthers are intellectually superior to every other person on Earth. This is because we are not sheep who believe the lies.

18. If any baller shows “irrefutable” proof of a globe Earth, you can totally ignore and disregard it as lies.

19. It is only logical that if you do not understand something, that it is fake.

20. Remember, YOU are the superior being and all globers are just shills and sheep. Keeping to these rules and policies and procedures will ensure the survival of our flat Earth for centuries to come and the end of the baller.

This should speak very loudly ! However, we both know that it won't. You were touching on the reason why, and is probably best left unsaid that "flat Earth" is actually a sickness way beyond confirmation bias. There are some pretty intelligent flat Earthers out there, and yes some of them are just playing it "like a fiddle" because it brings in money. But there still are others that appear to have the ability to process critical thinking, yet still just cover their ears and say "nuh uh". Religion and science are completely different animals, in fact, opposites in many ways. Science, at it's very core is the practice of eliminating or minimizing the need for belief, and I don't think you said anything here that is contrary to that very fact

Awesome job. It has become obvious that although flat earthers say they want to do research and debate, neither actually takes place. Every flat earth video I’ve seen is simply a presenter with an abundance of patience trying to educate a resistor who lacks cognition, understanding, and the underlying knowledge. 🧐 if you have to teach your debate opponent to sit in a chair, use a language, and reason, a useful debate you will not have.🤪

Excellent presentation. I used to teach problem solving skills in the drug abuse recovery business... the techniques and structure are nearly the same. Possibly, you might consider doing a live show that allows globe deniers to come in and discuss their own personal journey and how to establish a new path for each person. Not really therapy but teaching. A skill you seem to be very good with. 👍🏻😘
