Ameloblastoma Diagnosis/ Tumor/ Life Update

In this video I’ll be sharing my diagnosis with you. I was diagnosed in January 2019. My surgery was scheduled for November 2019 and this video was recorded 2 weeks before my surgery date.

Thank you so much for making this. I’m a 25 year old male, and mine was discovered when I was X-rayed for my wisdom teeth because I decided it was time to remove them (I don’t go for regular dental checkups). It was surrounding my impacted left 3rd molar. No symptoms, and the surgeon didn’t know what it was. Biopsy found it is a unicystic ameleblastoma w/ mural proliferation (~40% recurrence rate if only the tumor is removed). That was two days ago. It’s crazy how quickly life can change. The fact that the cause is unknown messes with my head. I’m choosing to put off resection for now, but seeing videos of such incredibly brave, strong, and positive people as yourself who have gone through this makes everything more manageable as I wait for the day it’ll return. You are in my prayers, and I wish you all the best. Thank you.

Symptoms or how did you become diagnosed? How are you today? I had an xray for my tooth issue and they found small circular looking stuff by my left lower molar. How did they officially diagnose you though?
