I watched all your videos and picked up the r8. Best thing I did. It’s my first radar and I’m in love. Thank you for your advice. I would love to pick up the escort redline but as you said in your other videos they focus on its apps then actually it’s purpose. When the redline bugs get fix. Then I’ll pick up that. But right now the r8 is perfect for my daily driver and for long travel.

I'm in Dallas. I use the V1V2 and R7. I moved away from Escort 25 yrs ago and have no plans to return. Seems like your buying time for Escort to get firmware update so it will be worthy. Why would they release it without it being A1. Imagine the people that are not in an update loop for the device? Still not buying another Escort.

Once they get the bugs out I'll be hanging up the R8 and going back to escort seems like they are getting back to where they were when redline was taking off the throne

Very excited for this detector. I personally picked up an R8 and love that for my commute to work and around town. As escort continue to develop the detector I’d love to hear your thoughts on how this stands up to the R8 and some reasons it would be worth switching to if it lives up to its hype.

What's your evaluation on the latest Firmware 1.3? Haven't notice any significant changes in range or better filtering? Escort still needs to improve on not only instant-on response time but alerting to quick trigger as well.

I bought this detector about a year ago and it’s been great until about a month ago. Now, every time it gets a radar signal it completely mutes the stereo and I have to hit the radio button to get the sound back on. Then it repeats until away from the signal. Any idea how to turn off this feature???

I remember an ad that said the C3 Corvette was radar proof (notice, not quoted on my part...LOL). I happen to own a C3...particularly one without metal bumpers ( the classic vette guys might give hate on that, anyways). I would really love to know if it's at all more difficult for an office to get speed for a C3...or certain shaped vehicles such as? I would like to consider LIDAR and standard Ka and K band radars signals. Thanks if you can make this episode happen. You can title it, classic car guys for radar detectors or something. It would take time to gain for that one but in due time the classic car guys would LOVE the info!

Question. I have a uniden R7. I have it set in the quiet mode under 30mph. It still however alerts for ka band even if i'm going under 30 and even when I'm stopped. Is that normal or is something wrong with it?

The Escort Live app keeps reverting back to the default settings. I have to reset the Speed Limit alert back to 90 or off and each time it resets to Speed Limit. It also throws the radio off whatever I’m listening to with every signal. It doesn’t just turn down the song. Very annoying.

Using Max 360 mkll finding that multi-rater pups up a lot more then any of the other escort detectors

I can’t help but think we have a Uniden employee here trumping up Uniden and bashing Escort and Valentine One. We may never know. Doing a good job of it though. 😮 I am currently running the Escort Max 360 mkii for a trial period as well as an R4 from Sam’s. Putting them both through the rigors.
