It is kind of funny, sad and messed up how the first part of the teaser trailer makes it feel like something out of the X-Men franchise, but the second part simply reminds us that this is a show that takes place in the same fictional world of the tv show The Boys.

If the heroine's black girl ability is to use her own blood as a weapon, then it's pretty similar to how the lead characters in the Japanese manga and anime "Dead Man's Wonderland" are portrayed.
