I have three questions: Suppose we have a Ruby implementation inserting 10, 000 2Kb MySQL records per second with necessarily unique integer ID fields. Theoretically, these integer values have to be assigned by a single governing process. 1. Does vMotion (together w any virtual layer(s), etc.) have any power to increase processing over a single governing process? 2. If so, basically how? 3. if not, does vMotion (etc.) have any real power to increase performance of such an implementation?
