I'm gonna be pulling the engine on my '04 Forester XT soon. Pretty sure it spun a bearing, but it happened at low speed easy driving and I shut it down right away, so I'm hoping it can be saved! Never rebuilt a subaru engine before (just a few inline 4's and V8's), but I'm gonna give it a shot!

Wow, that's waaay less than I was expecting it would take to pull the engine. Im having to replace mine and was just going pay someone else since I thought it would be a nightmare. Its actually pretty simple.

After more than a year i finally got my sti back running. Your videos really helped out you got no idea how many times i had to rewind and watch again and again and again. Im a little paranoid now tho i have very loud id 1050 injectors and since ive never had forged pistons before i dont know if all the "wierd" noises are normal.

Cause these cars are so easy to work on every hack has a go. So you end up with loose bolts, tape and folded hoses everywhere. Great video :-).

What axle did you end up getting? Im having trouble finding a decent front axle for my 02 wagon. Not alot of the 10mm shorter cv's around.
