I live in sunterra and the developer lied about everything... The lagoon has been reduced to 2.5 acres, no island, most of the kayaking/ paddle boarding area has been reduced to a very small corner (if we get it at all because they took away the dock and won’t answer when we ask), no pool overlooking the lagoon, there will be 2 sand pockets with the rest surrounded by normal pool sides, all parks except 2 have been canceled, they increased the community from 2, 500 single family homes to 7, 000 homes including 3 story apartment complexes, townhomes, duplexes, and triplexes for rent that all have full access to the amenities, the elementary school isn’t Bryant which is 8/10, it’s Robertson 5/10 (this was the biggest heartbreak for me since I wouldn’t even consider buying in an area with a school that’s rated under 7/10), and it just seems to be getting worse over time. The developer doesn’t care about homeowners concerns and uses a loophole in their contract saying any plans can be changed at anytime. Oh, and the lagoon was supposed to be done this summer, then this winter, next summer, and now it SHOULD be done by winter 2025… I wouldn’t recommend this community to anyone unless you’re just looking for the location. The only good thing about my new house is the house I built with Highland Homes, I’ll definitely be using Highland Homes for future builds, but next time I won’t build in a Land Tejas or Starwood community. Land Tejas sold to Starwood about 6mo ago, so we don’t even know if the lagoon will be the patented Crystal Lagoon.
