Bryan and Ashley sent samples and swabs of Cinnabun's DNA to ViaGen Pets in September 2018. The couple had originally hope that original Cinnabun would meet its genetic twin but sadly he died on October 30 2018.
The clone was born on February 4 2019 and after a few weeks with its surrogate mother, it was flown to Bryan and Ashley on April 3 2019.
The couple was immediately “overwhelmed” by the likeness between the two cats. Although, they got original Cinnabun at nine months old and cloned Cinnabun at two months old, As far as looks go, they are spot on. Even their personalities are so similar. They are both feisty. They even shared the original Cinnabun’s fondness for sleeping by Ashley’s head every night.
