One of the many things I appreciate about you Matthew is that you explain things simply, demo at a reasonable pace, and never talk down to your viewers. Thank you 🇨🇦

This is such a good item to have. I literally bolted it onto my fence, because I've had some odd requests for frames that look like diamonds

Thanks! I’m making Christmas Trees - we’ll hope so - out of oak flooring scrapes. I think this is just what I need! Thank you Matthew!

One of the best presentations of this technique I've seen, completely safe and understandable for the layman, despite the hillbilly accent.

It's all about simple math! People don't realize how the school math classes actually work!

Such a simple jig, you have to wonder why they don't just build retractable/removable fences like this into miter saws to begin with. (Perhaps a metal gate is too likely to damage a misaligned blade?)

All you need is 45⁰ of miter adjustment on the saw to get 90⁰ of total range.

For the math challenged naybe cut 40 degrees instead of if 45.

FYI, some miter gauges on table saws now swing to 90 degrees both ways.

Is the light near your blade an add on?

Once he cuts the fence, there is only one clam holding it. Better to screw the fence in place.

How does a dummy like me set it back up to keep the jig for future projects?

How do you line it back up properly after taking that jig off of the saw? do you just make a new one or do you just leave that jig on the saw? It looks like am amazing idea
