Love a mist filter, it gives that nostalgic feel. It works on certain things but not others. The “do it in post” option is always great, offering flexibility for sure. I tend to use a luma key, but this way is great too!

I use a Glimmerglass 1 filter, since it blooms, but doesnt lift the shadows. It softens just a tad without smearing out the highlights. Also it's spoken"Gows-ee-en" blur, after astronomer and mathematitian Carl Friedrich Gauss (spoken "Gowss", not "Gauhs").

LOVE this idea! Just a thought, can you get the same result by adding an adjustment clip, rather than duplicating the clip? maybe easier to apply to several clips at once?

Have you tried combining this with luma key effect? It’s possible to get the highlights to “bloom” without overpowering the mids and shadows.

Interesting little tip. I was thinking of getting a Mist Filter for my Drone to film the Illuminations this season.
I will give it a go and see how it stacks up against, my weapon of choice, Davinci Resolve's Halation and Glow effects in the Colour Page.

BTW my mate who has a Blackpool vlogging channel, with close to your subs, has been given quite a few eBikes to review over the last couple of years. He has nothing to do with bikes on his channel yet they still keep asking him to review the odd bike. Maybe you could reach out to review a bike while doing Videography Tutorial?
