I agree 100%. This is why I buy tires from warrior tire instead of discount tire and buy beef from a local ranch. I try to shop small business whenever I can, we all should be doing that.

The local mall here is dead with half the stores out of business. They just rebuilt it about 4-5 years ago too it’s sad.

There's also a spiritual aspect to business. When I owned a small business, I found the other local small business worked against me. I made 140k my 1st year out, practically starving if you've never owned a business. 2 years in my name was on the lips of local small to big city big business (to me). The smaller business was a 16 million dollar a year company. Everyone will get what they deserve. karma is here. And it's time to pay up. Or get squared up.

I do crafts. Jewelry, home interior design. I almost rented a building around the corner from my house. I'm so glad I didn't. They really wanted too much for the place, and it wasn't a high traffic area. I'm a PCA. I was fortunate enough to work with a young man on my street a couple hours a week. Then I work from home, creating pretty things to sell. I changed my family room to my studio space.
