Beautiful prayer. Thank you. However, please understand: The Most Blessed Queen of Heaven and Earth Immaculate Virgin Mother of God Mary never experienced either uncertainty or fear. Her Faith was Perfect — unlike our own — which is why She became worthy of becoming the Mother through Whom the Word became flesh, to live amongst us and to teach fallen humankind the Way back to God and to Paradise. Furthermore, if we consider the text of the so-called "Infancy Gospel" written by Saint James, the youngest son of Saint Joseph, it is clear that the Most Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God was the daughter of wealthy parents, Saints Joachim and Anna (Hannah). It is therefore a fanciful legend to imagine that Saint Joseph, who had 7 children (known to us by name) from his marriage before being betrothed/affianced to the Most Blessed Virgin Mother of God Mary, was a "poor, struggling carpenter" who would have walked to Egypt on foot.... These were no common "refugees" even though, yes, they had to flee the unhinged persecutions of Herod and his ruling family. They were people of means. It is important to know and remember the facts. That does not mean the prayer is not valid, however — it is a beautiful prayer — but let us not get carried away with basically dishonest, Marxism-tinged views of Jesus as some itinerant, quasi-homeless preacher in rough sandals and coarse burlap. The raiment Jesus wore on earth was so beautiful — made by His Mother, who else? — that the wicked Roman troop that crucified Him cast lots for it rather than discard it or dump it into a waste heap... even after He had been violently tortured in it (so it would have necessarily required washing and mending!). If we apply the powers of our God-given intellect we can understand more deeply the story of Christ's Passion and how it involved the entire Holy Family... It is beautiful, it is convincing and it has the full force of the Holy Spirit upon it, because of who it was written down by: Saint James himself, who was 11 years older than Jesus Christ and thus a witness not only to His Nativity but also to His Glorious Resurrection...
