Strong earthquakes hit central Italy, no fatalities reported

A series of strong earthquakes have hit central Italy, which has caused the collapse of several buildings, but no casualties have been reported.

At least three quakes ranging between four-point-nine and six-point-one magnitude struck within a two-hour period on Wednesday night, near the town of Visso...but strong tremors were felt as far as Rome, some 120 kilometers away.
Several historic churches are said to have been destroyed, but the Civil Protection department said only 'tens' of people have been hurt, with non-life threatening injuries.
The quake comes just two months after another earthquake near the region killed almost 300 people.
