Jasmine Crockett joins Charles Coleman Jr., in for Ali Velshi, to discuss the overlooked aspect of her heated exchange with Marjorie Taylor Greene during this week’s Oversight Committee Hearing, specifically the racial double standard and challenges of being a Black woman in a position of power in the U.S. Congress. “[Greene] just decided, ‘you know I’ve got privilege, so I'm just going to say whatever I want to say and then lean back,’ and she knew she would face no consequences,” Crockett explains. “I refuse to be anyone’s doormat.”

My first thought after a great deal of laughter—was “I wish I lived in Congresswoman Crockett’s district.” She makes me proud to be a woman and an American and I hope she will be around in government for a long time. If IQ were the metric for majority they wouldn’t have to go any farther than Ms, Crockett, Jamie Raskin, and Dan Goldman for the Dems to win the majority. Add AOC and Katie Porter and we’re waaay ahead! Comer’s “a what now?” was priceless. Congratulations, Rep. Crockett.

Rep Crockett did not address MTG "in this manner." After MTG made a personal attack on Crocket, there were no consequences for MTG. Crocket ask the chairman for a clarification of the rules. "If I said....bleach blond... etc. is that alright?" She never named names nor called anyone anything, MAGA thinks they are above the law, above the rules, above decorum and decency and consequences. It needs to be called out. Rep Crockett and AOC did the right thing.
