•The only song from the De Lane Lea demo recording sessions that ended up on the first album

•The band recorded some versions of the song at Trident in 1972 but none of those ended up on the album. The prouder Roy Baker and sound engineer Mike Stone did mix the song for multiple times but the band insisted that De Lane Lea demo sounds much better.

•The song was written by Brian May after his previous band's "Smile" disbanding in 1970
•According to Brian, the song is partly influenced by the Beatles "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds". He also describes the song's theme as the sadness of coming age and growing up.

The "naked" bass line is terribly different from what i heard for 30 years. I am shocked. Thanks for this musical epiphany.
