Показать описание
Tar-Palantir, the twenty-fourth King of Númenor. In his time, the Númenôreans had turned their backs on the Valar and the Elves, and Tar Palantir attempted to bring them back to the old ways. His policy of reform would likely have been continued by his daughter Míriel, but her throne was usurped by Ar-Pharazôn.

Brother, you have become a legend among tolkien fans. I hope that someday not far from now, you can continue the line of kings, explaining how the line of elros continued with Ëarendur and his descendants, Numendil, amandil, elendil, etc, all the way to aragorn II. And then go back to elwing, Dior, Luthien and Beren, barahir, bregor and boromir.

Hello from Cork! I'm enjoying this series. It's been over 20 years since I read the Silmarillion.

Fall of numenor is a pretty sad story which reflects human nature. Unlike elves, who have unchanging ideology because they're immortal, men always tend towards progression, because of being mortal and wanting more in life. This is how things are nowdays pretty much, ideology changes with each generation.

His brother "died unexpectedly".. yeah. Funny how that always happens between rival princes.

A proper Second Age show would need to spend a season on Tar-Palantir's reign, with Amandil and Miriel at his side. While also building up Elendil and Pharazon, whose probably off in Middle Earth. How Tar-Palantir was treated in Amazon's "Show, " was the breaking point for me. Your telling me that you adapt a character who's words are respected, or feared by the King's Men, is adapted into a character that is forced from the Throne by Pharazon? Yeah, no.
