Amazing work & very helpful. Was going to incorporate a few small snakes in my next large psychedelic piece but after seeing this I've decided a massive double ouroboros will be the central backing to the whole things. So not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing 😂 but inspiration can't be stopped.

Hi Cris, this video will prove very helpful as I love to draw fantasy characters and creatures, snakes and dragons (especially) feature heavily in my work. So normally trying to find a good little how to video on YouTube if hard to come by. You did brilliant! Got stuck with my Medusa piece and needed to work out how to paint her scales without using acrylic, but still being able to have detail. Great work!

Great video!!
I have a hard time making the grid for the scales when the snake makes a sharp or weird turn and I noticed your's in the video look really good, do you have any tips that could help with that?

For the scale gradient (when you’re filling in each individual scale) do you use a dry brush?
