As a middle aged Mexican American who grew up poor in what was essentially the ghetto, one of the most beautiful things about music is to hear the beautiful melodies of all the different cultures from around the world. What else besides music could someone like me and where I grew up have such a beautiful experience with another person’s culture?
There’s something beautifully primitive about listening to the faint sound of ancestors, and some artists are really good at channeling their ancestors, the cranberries was one of those bands.
Gorgeous melodies, and Delores had such a beautiful accent to compliment those melodies.

What's incredible to me is there is like zero reverb on her voice and she's still dominating. That's so hard to hit those notes even with a little extra umph coming from the reverb and she's just like "nah I'm good." RIP Delores!

In mid-September 2018, bandmate Noel Hogan confirmed that the Cranberries band name would be retired after the release of their 2019 album, In the End. He stated: "We don't want to continue without Dolores, so we're just going to leave after this".
