I expect the glasses are mostly to obscure the eye movements of a highly intelligent person. Most highly intelligent people have more eye movement when talking, really when thinking. It’s almost a subconscious muscle movement while accessing deeper parts of the mind. There is a real reason why movies depict AI minds as tilting their head, eyes losing focus, etc when they are accessing “data” or their version of memory.
