This might sound odd. But zebras is from New Bedford which is an extremely wealthy area of New York in westchester county and i also grew up in that area. Almost every kid from that area is like Trevor zegras. And I’m not exaggerating, there’s an arrogance that comes with being from there and it’s showing

I personally think you’re looking into this way too much. Ducks are losing horribly, Zegras hasn’t been on a losing team his whole career. Wires cross, you do stupid stuff without thinking, and then at the end of the day he’s chuckling with the media cause that’s just his personality. I don't know. I'm older, so I remember hockey in the 70's when every team had a guy like that, even good players like Eddie Shack, who liked to tick off the other team and made a career out of it. I always thought that and the scrums were part of the fun of hockey. Even when I played (at a very low level) it was like that and I thought it was fun. Now there are hardly any players who do it anymore, so the guys who do stand out. It used to be pretty common.

I definitely don't dislike him, he's a highly skilled player but I think at the end of the day he's just young. I think he's still finding his way through situations, which makes sense. Guys have to learn the lines as they come up through the league and I expect nothing less of Zegras. Hell, even take Sid himself. He was a passionate upstart, and of course he was nothing like Zegras, but we've definitely seen Sid mature just like other star players. Him and Ovi have grown mutual respect for each other instead of kindling and old rivalry. Another example for me is also Nathan MacKinnon. He's really matured in how he views the game, and despite still being crazy competitive and witty, he's come to respect some of those losses from a few years ago. I could very much see Zegras doing a similar thing, but I agree with you completely on this. His behavior is just... odd. Plain and simple.

Why does it come off weird, you mentioned two people Marchand and Tkachuck and they both do similar types of stuff. Is it because of his skill level that he shouldn't do that? If it gets under the other teams skin why not, he's not licking people like Marchand did. And I don't care what you say about Crosby they guy gets worked up over everything no one else on the Pens seemed to be bothered by until until Crosby bumped him. If anyone should of been upset it should be the goalie and he didn't seem to mind. To me it was Crosby making an issue out of nothing, he didn't even fire the puck.

As said below .. every team had a kid like that. Our peewee team (70s) had one fellow who would start fights among his own team mates during practice sessions. If you're reading this, Bill Gately, I hope you learned a life lesson from those scrimmages.

Crazy .. I still remember all the guys like it was yesterday .. names and everything. If you're fortunate enough to be a parent, gets your kids into hockey. It WILL last a lifetime. :)

After watching today's game versus Vegas it is very clear Zegras has had it with this year and his competitive instinct is just causing him to do dumb shit. In reality getting fired up like this is a good thing because it shows he is not just there to collect a paycheck and he wants to win.
