UPDATE: For the Sky Bridge, all you need to do is look down, and hold right click at the same time when you start moving forwards.

You can actually get down even further faster with the down bridge keep holding right click after you placed the lower block and just look below that one, it'll keep placing blocks down and you can place another block down there to stand on once they're there

You can also keep holding right click after you've placed that standing block down there, which will trigger another down bridge since you really just need downwards momentum to do a down bridge
