I test drove an iD4 at our local VW dealership here in Arizona, a couple of months ago. Loved it, but wasn't wild about the range, so I'm ordering the Chev Equinox EV. Slightly larger and 300 mi. range, but VW did a GREAT job with the iD4, iD3 and iD Buzz.

We're first time EV buyers. Test drove the ID.4 the other day and it was great. Didn't touch the infotainment. It's a great looking car but hard to spend $50k on a car that you know you'll be bringing back to the dealer for bugs. We're not too excited about the Tesla Model Y look or price. Just want a family EV that works, like a Leaf or Bolt but also hard to buy into a nearly obsolete platform. Maybe we'll just delay a year or 2 until all these OEM's get their bugs sorted out and there are more reliable options...

"Tricky color to maintain." Hmm...sounds like a good video idea. Which colors are the worst to maintain? Obviously solid black shows the most swirls. White shows tar, iron contamination and dirt. But, would love to know Colton's opinion.

Year and a half with our 2021 Pro (Moonstone Grey) and while we've had little software bugs, we've had nothing like you've mentioned. We love our car.

Interestingly, VW just raised the AWD for more ground clearance. And you wanted to lower it back down. Having a proper SUV ground clearance is one of the major reasons I got the ID.4 AWD not the Tesla or Mach-E.

Colton, welcome to the 2023 ID.4 Pro S AWD Pure Grey/Galaxy owner’s club. We joined a week ago and love it. Our VW dealer (Kings VW in Cincinnati) is one of the top in the country with more than 100 ID.4 models sold since they went on sale last year.

Love our RWD 2021 ID4. We checked every box except AWD cuz wow, there's lots of fender gap with those tires. Glad Colton is lowering it. Great video.

We have 1st Edition since March 2021, they just updated it to 3.1 today. AutoHold is there now even though 2021. More than 25k miles on it now and all free charged at EA. Next week, picking up 2023.

Our local VW-Audi-Skoda dealer sels around 83% EV. They might have sold more VAG EV's than any other EV dealer in the world. It is around 15 months waiting time for a ID4 4wd and the same for a Audi Q4 4WD and Skoda a little bit more. They ordered around 100 ID4 2wd a year ago with the most popular equipement like towbar so now they have ID4 that you could get without a long wait. We bought one of those ID4 and got it 7 weeks a go. It as since spent 42 days at their garage due to faulty wheel bearings, they thought it was the engine so waited 3 weeks for a new engine and they replaced it, then tried with driveshafts from another car and then changed the weel bearings, and that was the problem. We noticed after around 100 feet of ownership that there was a bam-bam-bam sound it came at about 10 mph and disapeared at around 25mph. now i hope it wil be without problems

I love the Id.4 but once again it just needs full one pedal driving as an option or button or paddles. I understand that this car appeals to people coming from say a Rav4 or CRV who might prefer the less regen but make it an option for the people who want true one pedal.

I took delivery of my '23 ID.4 the day before Thanksgiving this year, and immediately road tripped to my parents' for the holiday within 30 minutes of signing. I've not had any software issues on mine so far. I wonder why the 2 you all have purchased are having issues. Sorry to hear of the software issues you are experiencing with them.

"if you are running out of fuel, turn off the heat and go slow." Keep in mind that the European-made ID.4s have a heat pump. It's much more efficient than the resistive cabin heat installed in Chattanooga.

I got my ID4 in August of '21 and I STILL haven't had a software update. They do it at my local dealer and I was one of the first at that dealer to get an ID4, but I have to wait an obscene amount of time to get a new 12v battery and update. What the actual?

I had two reservations. Called all 6 dealers in area. Dealer called and found me one in allocation. 53343 Mats mirror and Ev kit. At last second I bought m3 RWD for 43690 December special. Don’t hate me
